Used Diaper Processing System Installed at ZUIKO

ZUIKO Corporation has installed a system to convert used disposable diapers into RPF (Refuse Derived Paper and Plastic Densified Fuel) at its headquarters in Osaka, Japan.
The system is available for demonstration. ZUIKO engineers have begun testing and experiments to further improve quality and performance.
The disposal costs and economic impact of disposing used disposable diapers are significant as production and usage increase around the world every year. The SFD system crushes, dries, and sterilize used diapers into a safe and hygienic fluff-like material that can be used or sold as a new heat energy source. Compared to incinerating diapers or putting them in landfills, methane gas and carbon dioxide emissions are significantly reduced relieving some of the environmental burden.
